💙 Happy Father's Day! 💙

This Father's Day, we celebrate all of the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles, coaches, mentors, and father figures who make a difference in the lives of our children each and every day.

Thank you for the encouragement you give, the lessons you teach, the example you set, and the unwavering support you provide. Whether you're cheering from the sidelines, helping with homework, offering guidance, or simply being there when it matters most, your love and dedication help shape confident, caring, and successful young people.

On behalf of the Castaic Union School District, we wish all of the fathers and father figures in our school community a wonderful Father's Day filled with love, appreciation, and special moments with family.

Last evening, our Board of Trustees had the privilege of honoring six extraordinary educators as they begin their well-earned retirement journeys: Dr. John de Lemos (30 years of service), Claudia DiMonte (36 years), Mary Edison (37 years), Marie Gilbert (27 years), Tara Gurney (21 years), and Teresa Uno (26 years). The evening was filled with both laughter and tears as we shared heartfelt reflections on the lasting impact each of these remarkable teachers has had on the lives of thousands of students through their guidance, encouragement, and genuine care for every child's success and well-being. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom, living on through the many colleagues they have mentored and inspired throughout their careers. The Castaic Union School District has been truly blessed by their dedication, compassion, and service. We are deeply grateful for the difference they have made in our schools and community, and we wish each of them a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement filled with new adventures and cherished memories. ❤️🍎📚

Superintendent Brauneisen stopped by Castaic Elementary this morning and found himself right in the middle of quite the story time session! One student, sporting a cast on her wrist, shared a very dramatic tale about a shark at the aquarium pulling her into the tank and breaking her wrist. Judging by the reactions and reenactments from the girls nearby, it sounds like the shark encounter was pretty intense. 😂 We love the imagination, storytelling, and big personalities our students bring to campus every day!
