Celebrating another beautiful Transitional Kindergarten classroom remodel, made possible through a Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Transitional Kindergarten Model Classroom Grant as part of the Universal Prekindergarten initiative!

Congratulations to Live Oak Elementary School and TK Teacher Brian Malette on this exciting new learning space!

This grant allowed us to transform the TK classroom into a model learning environment designed to support high-quality early childhood education and serve as a demonstration classroom for other TK educators. 📚✨ It's been a busy and exciting week across Castaic Union School District!

While our students have been enjoying the final days of summer, our dedicated teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing for an incredible school year. From our Welcome Back Breakfast and professional development workshops to CPR certification courses, mandated trainings, team meetings, and countless hours spent in classrooms and offices, everyone has been working together with one goal in mind... making sure our students have the very best first day of school.

Behind the scenes, our amazing custodial and maintenance teams have been putting the finishing touches on every campus, ensuring our schools are clean, safe, and ready to welcome students on Monday.

Thank you to every member of our for your dedication, teamwork, and commitment to our students. We can't wait to welcome everyone back!

One of the most meaningful moments of our Welcome Back Breakfast was recognizing our Legacy Employees... former Castaic Union School District students who have come full circle and returned to serve as our teachers, instructional assistants, office staff, custodians, and support professionals across our schools and District Office.

Many of them began their journey with us as preschoolers, grew through our elementary and middle schools, and are now helping shape the next generation of CUSD students.

There is no greater testament to the culture, community, and sense of family that defines Castaic Union School District. When our students choose to come home and build their careers here, we know we're doing something special.
