It has come to my attention that the ad in the Vale Voice does not contain the accurate sponsors listed. This is what I sent to be in the ad- not sure what went wrong and I apologize to the great sponsors if you were left off.
Malheur County Cattlemen’s Association would like to thank the following businesses and supporters for bringing the 2026 MCCA Commercial Steer Show to the Malheur County Fair. Bill Cox of Pomeroy, Wash was our judge, and there were 87 students participating with their Malheur County born and raised steers.
The 2026 Grand Champion Malheur County Commercial Steer was shown by Mollie Romans, Harper, raised by her; and the Reserve Champion is Weston Bennett of Nyssa; raised by producer Carlton Andersen of Ontario. The People’s Choice award goes to Isabella Maag and her producer Burkhardt Farms.
We want to thank our supporters who also buy Malheur County beef at the Livestock Sale. The top purchaser of beef shown in the Commercial Steer show for 2026, is the Maag family, and the second highest buyer was Speelmon Livestock.
