Enjoyed catching up a little with Barry Hearn the principal trombonist with the Dallas Symphony after incredible performance of Mahler 8.

A great performance by the Low Brass section for the final concert of our regular season! Ryan Sorenson and Justin McKinney holding down the bottom while Michael Lurie and Riley Carr provided Epic glissandi and great playing throughout the night. Riley Carr joins an illustrious list of two time winners of the annual Trombone Toss to end the year! Congratulations Riley. I would note he is holding the trombone together!

Great concert today to end the semester with the VSU Concert Band and guest artists from Hahira Middle School 8th grade band under direction of Mr. Kevin Morris. Wonderful blend and balance from the Middle School. Nice work throughout from Trombone section of: Ethan Dixon, Ben Fussell, Leo Gomez, Caitlyn Mitchell and Romello Williams. Interesting program selected by Dr. Patrick Forrester.

Another night with the VSU trombones in concert. Wonderful program and the Wind Ensemble sounded fantastic. Congratulations to Dr Skye Holmes and of course her dynamic trombone section of Riley Carr, Natalie Savoie, Daniel Lowe and Michael Lurie. Will look forward to hearing the album they are recording later this week.
