May is Mental Health Month.
“Mental Health +” is built on the idea that mental health is interwoven into every part of our lives - sometimes we just need help noticing it. Rather than focusing on mental health only during certain times, we should be prioritizing it every day, just as we do our physical health. The same way you brush your teeth, get physicals, and make it a priority to be active, you can create consistent actions around your mental well-being.

Friendship is a crucial element in protecting our mental health. Our friends can help keep us grounded, help us get things in perspective, and help us manage the problems that life throws at us.
If you’re a friend of someone with a mental health problem, you may be concerned about them. The most important thing is to show them that your still their friend and you care about them, whether that’s through your words, a hug, or another way that conveys how you feel.
If you are worried about a friend or classmate in need, learn how to build the confidence to talk with a friend who might need help through kognito. Kognito is an online training simulation. Click https://buff.ly/3PGJSBo to access Kognito and sign in with VSU email and password.
