BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA.

Those three words should never be forgotten.

On January 10, 2013, my son, Kendrick Lamar Johnson, was found dead inside a rolled-up gym mat at Lowndes High School. A second autopsy concluded that his cause of death was blunt force trauma.

For more than 13 years, our family has continued to seek truth, accountability, and justice. We have refused to be silent because Kendrick was more than a headline. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a teammate, and a friend. He had dreams, a future, and a life that mattered.

We will continue to speak his name until the truth is fully known and justice is served.
