Today at our School Expectations & Celebrations Assembly, we had the opportunity to recognize students who earned 3s and 4s on the Mathematics portion of the Georgia Milestones Assessment! 📚🎉

We are especially proud to celebrate these accomplishments among our VMS Band students. Their success is a powerful reminder of the connection between music education and academic achievement. Research continues to demonstrate that students who participate in music education can experience significant academic, cognitive, and social benefits.

‼️Today we celebrate an incredible achievement‼️

The Valdosta High School Wind Symphony has officially been invited to perform at the 2027 Music for All National Festival, one of the most prestigious concert band events in the nation. The festival will take place April 1–3, 2027, in Indianapolis, Indiana, bringing together some of the finest scholastic ensembles from across the United States.

Being selected to perform at the National Festival places our Wind Symphony among an elite group of bands nationwide and provides our students with an opportunity to share their artistry on a national stage. We are humbled by this opportunity and excited to represent Valdosta, Georgia, on a national stage.

Congratulations to the members of the Valdosta High School Wind Symphony! The journey continues, and we look forward to sharing this unforgettable experience in Indianapolis.

What a wonderful surprise! The VMS Open House is a great day filled with new faces, and some familiar ones!

Information regarding the upcoming parent meeting and rental night was handed out if you stopped by the table! More detailed information will be handed out on the first day of school.
