Real skills. Real projects. Real impact.

Eighth grade scholars made inferences about classifying numbers within the real number system using their understanding of rational numbers. Throughout the unit, they will revisit their charts to refine their thinking, deepen their understanding, and build connections as they learn more.

In Individuals & Societies, our 6th graders are already learning that history, geography, government, and economics are all connected. 🌎
After practicing annotation and Cornell Notes, scholars began putting those skills to work. First, they analyzed images and identified Connecting Themes of Social Studies. Then, they stretched their thinking even further by analyzing song lyrics, exploring symbolism, and making connections across multiple themes.
Along the way, they strengthened ELA skills, practiced critical thinking, and saw how the themes of Individuals & Societies overlap and help us better understand the world around us.
