Do you know a rising 9th-12th grader who loves chemistry or just wants to find out what it’s all about?

We are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Chemistry Camp organized by the VSU Department of Chemistry and Geosciences, June 2-6, 9 am – 1 pm. Each day, professors from the Department lead rising 9th-12th grade students through exciting and educational chemistry experiments. The registration fee is $125 and includes lunch each day with VSU chemistry students and faculty!

Here’s what students will do each day in Chemistry Camp:
--Solve crimes with DNA.
--Make glow in the dark reactions.
--Find how much caffeine tea and coffee contain.
--Prepare and run chemistry demonstrations.
--Make and use photovoltaic and photoelectrochemical cells.

LAMP - Lowndes Associated Ministries to People - is looking for volunteers to keep the children at the shelter busy this summer with crafts and activities, especially fun and educational activities.

They also welcome anyone wishing to provide crafts and activities for the adults staying there.

If you have an hour or two to spare this summer, call the PACE office at 229.245.6484 or email [email protected] and we will give you the case manager's contact information so you can make the arrangements directly with LAMP.
