Old VSU, you’ve definitely got to appreciate the content the new creators have been putting out lately.
They’ve been incredibly creative, bringing fresh ideas and new concepts that keep the VSU story moving forward in a fun and engaging way. From the visuals to the storytelling, you can tell there’s real thought and passion behind what they’re creating.
They’re doing an amazing job keeping Blazers connected both on and off the internet, and it’s great to see the next generation adding their own creativity and energy to the culture.
Hats off to the new wave for carrying the torch and keeping the VSU community connected but were not gonna tell them why there isn't an outdoor basketball court anymore 😅

Valdosta State University and the College of the Arts are advancing plans for a new Theatre & Performing Arts Center on VSU’s north campus, located at the former Ashley Street Cinemas site.
This approximately 43,000-square-foot facility will feature a ~370-seat proscenium theatre with mezzanine seating, a black box laboratory theatre, and comprehensive academic and production support spaces. The contemporary design is thoughtfully informed by the architectural character of VSU’s historic campus and will include a grand entrance and expansive interior lobby.
Currently in the construction phase, the project represents a strategic investment in the future of VSU’s Theatre and Dance programs and will support Peach State Summer Theatre, while strengthening the University’s role as a regional cultural hub.
With a projected completion of Spring 2026, the new Theatre & Performing Arts Center will enhance arts education, foster innovative performance, and serve as a welcoming gateway connecting campus and community.
