🌟 3V Champion of the Month: Sam Brumbley 🌟
Mr. Sam Brumbley has served as a technology technician with Valdosta City Schools for four years, and in that time he has consistently gone beyond the expectations of his role. In addition to supporting Pinevale, J.L. Lomax, and Valdosta City School of Scholars at HLC, Mr. Brumbley has taken a leadership role in several key district initiatives, including the pilot implementation of Audio Enhancement at J.L. Lomax, the Active Directory cleanup and optimization project, and proactive cross-training in the network environment to reduce the district’s reliance on third-party support.
💡 Vision – Mr. Brumbley looks ahead, improving systems that support both instruction and operations.

At the April 28, 2026 Valdosta Board of Education Work Session, we proudly recognized Jalik Rowe, a 5th grade student at W.G. Nunn Elementary School, for being named a national Read 180 Award winner—an honor celebrating exceptional student growth.
Nominated by his teacher, Charlene Rickman, Jalik has shown outstanding academic progress through increased reading performance, stronger learning habits, and consistent engagement across all classes. He continues to go above and beyond by attending additional sessions to reach his goals.
Beyond academics, Jalik stands out for his character and leadership. As the oldest of four siblings at school, he takes on responsibility with maturity and serves as a positive role model to his peers. His dedication, effort, and example reflect the very best of Valdosta City Schools.
