Kenny Moore signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in September 2026. He started his NFL career by turning an undrafted opportunity into a successful NFL career, becoming a Pro Bowl cornerback and longtime defensive standout for the Indianapolis Colts. Known for his versatility and ability to create turnovers, Moore has established himself as one of the league's most accomplished slot cornerbacks. His Valdosta ties run especially deep: Moore played for Lowndes High School and later played college football at Valdosta State University.

They may call us country or not know where we're located, but Hollywood and major industries know all about us. The Sc-Fi TV series, Earth Final Conflict, had one of it's characters (Lilly Marquette) mention that she had F-22 training in Valdosta (Moody AFB).

T.I. called Valdosta "country" several years ago during an interview with Fabolous, in the context of who should be called "country." When Fabolous responded that he didn't know where Valdosta was, T.I. confirmed that this was his point.

By the way, Earth Final Conflict, which ran for 5 seasons, was conceived by Gene Roddenberry. The guy who created Star Trek.

Valdosta Authors. Drop a link to your latest book in the comments. We're in the process of creating an Author Showcase page for ValdostaConnect, similarly to what we've done for the Music Creator Showcase: https://valdostaconnect.com/creators/music

I’m rebuilding a local project called ValdostaConnect — and I’ve started documenting the process.

It’s a digital hub for organizing tools, resources, and visibility connected to Valdosta — but this page isn’t about selling it. It’s about showing what it takes to build something useful from the ground up.

I’ll be sharing what’s being built, what’s being discovered, what’s working, and what isn’t — in real time.

If you’re connected to Valdosta and curious about how things get built (not just how they’re marketed), you’re welcome to follow along.

We’ve all heard the phrases “stay ready so you don’t have to get ready” and “preparation meets opportunity.” Many of us have also heard the reminder to show hospitality to others, because you never know who you’re entertaining. In today’s social-media-driven world, that idea carries new weight for business owners — because visibility can arrive at any moment, often when you least expect it.

That’s exactly what happened for 2 Valdosta Soul Food restaurants. While browsing YouTube, I was surprised to see a video from Yoki Stirrup, a creator with over 1.2 million subscribers who is well known for her fi***rm reviews and marksmanship content...
