Our scholars are working diligently in their classrooms with their teachers so they will be ready to show you their leadership skills. They are ready to perform so please make sure to bring them out.

Lowndes County Emergency Management Encourages Residents to Sign Up for AlertLowndes Ahead of Hurricane Season

Lowndes County, GA – As hurricane season approaches, Lowndes County Emergency Management is urging residents and visitors to sign up for AlertLowndes, a free notification system designed to keep the public informed during severe weather events and other emergency situations.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, and early preparation is key to staying safe. Your input is needed. We are hosting two stakeholder input sessions on April 28. One virtual and one in person. This gives stakeholders the opportunity to shape the future of our District by helping us identify strengths and weaknesses, we can set goals for FY26. This information will shape our CLIP and District Improvement Plan. Stakeholders will also give input on our District Parent and Family Engagement Policy.

Parents, Guardians and 3rd-5th grade scholars. Next week we start GMAS Testing. Every scholar in tested grades will be entered into a drawing for some cool prizes. Wait there are some rules to be entered.

1. Come to school everyday from April 21-May 2.
2. YOU MUST BE ON TIME EVERYDAY. That means NO TARDIES.
3. Absolutely NO discipline referrals in the building or on the bus.

We know that's easy for our scholars so we have some cool prizes. Everything from a 10 inch Android Tablet to movies passes, t-shirts, you name it we have it. Parents of those scholars will be entered into a drawing as well. We have some great prizes for you too! So make sure to have your scholars to school everyday and on time.
