Ms. Shacklee and Mrs. Hannan’s class are learning all about place value using a number line! 🔢 Students are building their number sense while discovering how numbers change as they move along the number line.

Today, our SME Pre-K students toured the SME cafeteria and had the opportunity to meet our amazing SME Nutrition Team! 🍎🥪

Our little Wildcats learned all about how breakfast and lunch are prepared and the important role our Nutrition Team plays in taking care of our students each day.

And their favorite part of the tour? The freezer! 🥶😂

A HUGE thank you to our incredible SME Nutrition Team for all you do to nourish, care for, and serve our Wildcats each day! We appreciate you! 💛🖤

Come watch our 2nd and 3rd Grade students present a chorus performance. Hear about upcoming events, Leader in Me initiatives, Student Lighthouse Teams, and our Title I Program. This will be an evening packed with information about SME and opportunities to get involved that you don't want to miss!
2nd and 3rd grade students will report to Mrs. Cooper at 5:00pm.
Both events will be held in the gym.

📊 Learning in Action!

Our 2nd graders are showing what they know this week through one of our Math ILPs, “Box Turtles”! 🐢📊

Students are learning to analyze tally charts, create bar graphs and picture graphs, and use real-life data to answer questions. They’re putting their math skills to work as they collect, organize, represent, and interpret data!

Before diving into our first unit on volume, fifth grade reviewed area and perimeter by building models with colored tiles! 🟦🟩 This hands-on activity gave students a chance to strengthen their math skills while also practicing how to use manipulatives thoughtfully and effectively. Learning is always better when you can build it!
