🇺🇸 Freedom Competition Information

We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend off and than none of our band family had too much damage from the rain. Now it's time to get back to it with the Freedom Classic this Saturday, October 17, at Freedom High School! We hope everyone will be able to come out at support our Marching Wildcats! You can find all the details about the day below! ⬇️

⏰ Families, there's also a schedule tailored just for you!

🇺🇸 Competition Details:
Gates open at 9:30 am. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-12, and 5 and under are FREE! Full concessions will open at 11am. Credit/debit cards will be accepted but have back-up cash just in case there are issues with the wifi. All patrons will receive a download link with the program for FREE!

💵 September Calendar Fundraiser

Still have donation money to turn in? Bring it to the Band Boosters' 50/50 table tonight! We've already made $1,265 with only 4 kids who have turned in money so far, but with around 60 band members, we can do even better!

For last week's competition, just the payment to the drivers was $550. That doesn't include mileage at $2/mile or registration fees, so every donation helps--whether is $1 or $100! Thank you for supporting our Marching Wildcats!

💪 Volunteers Needed for Pit Crew--Tonight & Tomorrow!

We need 10 volunteers to help unload the trailer and prep the field for the halftime tonight and at the competition tomorrow. If your muscles are willing and able, please sign up on the Band app! Have a volunteer who's not on the Band app? You can add their name to the volunteer sign up!

💛🎶🖤 Band families: Check out the schedules for tomorrow's competition at North Iredell!

Student Schedule:
It's going to be a quick, early morning tomorrow, so come on time and ready to rock and roll! 💛🎶🖤

Call time is 8:15. Breakfast first, then dress in halves, and load the trailer to leave at 9:15! ⌛

Family Schedule:
We hope everyone can make the trek to North Iredell tomorrow to support our Marching Wildcats! Please note that the times have been moved up two hours from the original schedule due to the weather forecast. 💛🖤

⏰ The band schedule for tomorrow night is below! Call time is at 5:15 PM in full uniform in the BAND ROOM. The auditorium is not available due to preparations of the Burke County Board of Education meeting on Monday evening.

The band will head to the field at 6:40 PM for the senior night program at 7:00 PM. Senior recognitions will be followed by a QUICK pre-game. The band will perform the full show during halftime.

Senior Night is here! 🎓 🎉

Band Families:

All seniors--football, cheer, and band--will be recognized BEFORE the game tomorrow night beginning at 7:00 PM. Having band seniors recognized before the game with football and cheer will allow the band to perform the show during halftime rather than after the game, so that students and families can head home earlier to rest up for the early call time on Saturday morning.

‼️ Senior parents need to meet the band at the stadium gate on the field house end of the field at 6:45 PM to walk to the field and line up to begin the senior recognitions at 7:00 PM.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night and celebrating this amazing group of senior band members! 💛🖤

‼️ Final reminder: All money for the September Calendar fundraiser is due tomorrow! Give all money to Mr. Gifford in your labeled envelope. Booster officers will be in the band room at the end of practice to count the money for the deposit.

‼️‼️Schedule Change for Saturday's Competition at North Iredell‼️‼️

⛈️ JK on that post this morning about the schedule for Saturday! Due to potential weather, our performance time has been moved up two hours to 12:00 noon on Saturday. Look for an adjusted schedule to be posted soon, and start resting up for a late night Friday and then an early morning and long day on Saturday! 😳😪🥱😩😉
