National Night Out is tomorrow, August 4, from 5–7 p.m. Join us for an evening of fun!

The Town of Vail Police Department will be celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4 with two free barbeques for the Vail community. The popular event is now in its 42nd year.

Vail Police personnel will cook burgers and hot dogs from 5 to 7 p.m. at two locations, including Stephen’s Park in West Vail at 2470 S. Frontage Rd. W and at the Middle Creek Apartments at 145 N. Frontage Rd. W. Residents are encouraged to join the department at either location to spend the evening outside with friends and neighbors.

Both locations will feature the opportunity to meet Vail Police officers, participate in activities for kids, meet Vail’s K9 officers and receive information on crime prevention as well as bike and e-bike registration.

With outreach activities also planned in Avon, Edwards, Gypsum and Basalt, National Night Out is intended to enhance the relationships between neighbors and law enforcement while fostering a true sense of community.

RSES was buzzing yesterday! 🐝 From a fairytale tea party in kindergarten to camping + fishing fun in Ms. Rizzo’s first grade class, a special speaker in second grade, and a fourth grade play in Mrs. Tonn’s class—what a day! 🎭 Now let’s keep the party going tonight at the spring dance! We’ll see you at 6pm! 💃🕺
