Our concert is nearly two weeks away. We are super excited for our winter performance! Our concert is Friday, November 30th. I wanted to share some information about call time, concert time, and Vail Theatre of the Arts policy before our big event.
Firstly, Call Time is the time that choir students need to arrive at Vail Theatre of the Arts (VTOTA). This means that parents need to drop off both Beginning and Advanced Choir students before the concert starts and return again later to enjoy the performance. This will allow singers to participate in a final preconcert rehearsal. This ensures that the sound quality, lights, and stage directions are ready for parents, friends, family and neighbors to enjoy. Also, running through our program, gives singers more confidence. Students will be able to make singing and stage direction adjustments without the presence of an audience. Keeping this in mind, parents need to drop off their choir students and then return later for the finished performance. Call time for our concert is at 5:30pm.
After the preconcert rehearsal, singers are ready to perform. Concert time is when the Vail Youth Voices performance is scheduled to begin. The auditorium doors open 20 minutes before the posted concert time. This allows parents and community members to find a good seat and be ready for this exciting event. The concert will begin at 7:00pm. The Auditorium doors will open at 6:40pm.
Don’t forget that admission to this event is free. No tickets will be required. Our concerts are community friendly events. Those who wish to attend are welcome. Please support the kids by bringing your family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy an energizing morning of music.
The Vail Theatre of the Arts is a beautiful venue to hold a concert. The staff at the theatre has asked me to let you know that food, drinks, and gum are NOT allowed inside the theatre. Feel free to bring water in clear containers. Keeping the theatre free of food, gum, and drinks helps maintain good condition for future community performances.
Hope to see you and your friends and family there!
