We explored colors through fun, hands-on activities, including sorting colorful dinosaurs, practicing fine-motor skills by lacing colorful shapes, and creating our very own paint color swatch books!

🍎 Apple Week in the Toddler A classroom! 🍎

Our toddlers had a fun-filled week exploring all things apples! We enjoyed reading our apple-themed books, singing songs with our flannel boards, and building important skills through Velcro play, ABC activities, sensory apple scoops, and pretend kitchen play.

🎨 We also got creative with apple roll-ups, tissue paper apples, and apple collages. Tomorrow, we have a special apple tasting where the toddlers will get to explore and taste different varieties of apples! 🍏🍎

Today in our Toddler B classroom, we’re celebrating Back to School with a fun day of learning and creativity!

📚 Large Group: We’ll read, "All Are Welcome" and talk about how everyone belongs in our classroom community.

🔢 Skill of the Day: Toddlers will practice counting during our morning activities.

🍉 Toddler B Theme of the Week: End-of-Summer Picnic! 🧺☀️

We’re having so much fun celebrating the end of summer with our End-of-Summer Picnic theme! So far this week, our toddlers have been learning, creating, and enjoying lots of picnic-inspired activities. 💛

🍓 Monday – Fruit: We read, "Eat Your Colors", practiced color matching, and created a fun picnic basket food craft.

🥪 Tuesday – Sandwich: We practiced themed vocabulary, worked on puzzles, and painted colorful jellyfish on bread!

🧺 Wednesday – Picnic Day: Today, we read, "Let’s Have a Picnic", enjoyed our very own picnic, and got creative with free art!

🍋 Coming Up: We’ll keep the summer fun going with lemonade-themed activities on Thursday and cookies on Friday! 🍪

This week in Toddler B, we're exploring our Circle of Life theme through fun animal adventures! 🦁🐾

Throughout the week, the children enjoyed reading engaging animal-themed stories, matching animal prints and colors, sorting animals, and building problem-solving skills with puzzles. They also expressed their creativity by making animal prints, crafting lion manes, marble painting animals, and decorating royal crowns with sparkling jewels.

It has been a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and hands-on exploration as we discovered the amazing world of animals together! 🧡

🦁🐋 Preschool B – Weekly Summer Theme: Going to the Zoo! 🐘🕷️

This week, our little explorers are heading on a zoo adventure as we learn about some amazing animals! We'll discover fun facts about beluga whales, hyenas, whale sharks, tarantulas, and armadillos while enjoying our featured story, "Armadillo Antics" by Bill Martin Jr.

Here's a look at the first half of our week:

🐋 Monday – Beluga Whales
*Explored animals and barns during group time.
*Practiced patterns, sorting, and shape recognition with lacing beads.
*Created adorable beluga whales using cut-out shapes.

🦴💦 Tuesday – Hyenas & Water Play Day
*Had fun with cars and tracks during center time.
*Built and stacked with cones and cakes.
*Colored a hyena-themed art page.
*Enjoyed cooling off with water play!

🦈 Wednesday – Whale Sharks & Sharing
*Used dramatic play with Shopkins during group activities.
*Strengthened fine motor skills using rubber band boards.
*Painted colorful whale sharks with Q-tip dot art.

We are wrapping up another awesome SHARK 🦈 WEEK! We learned a TON about SO many different types of sharks this week. I’m truly impressed with their spongelike memories and how they grabbed hold of so many facts and features of these amazing animals. We made shark art, did shark research projects, played with shark toys, read shark books, and we even made a life size “Deep Blue” shark that the children painted (really well I might add). Hard to believe she is 20 feet long!!! Ask your children what they learned about sharks that intrigued them the most! ❤️ Pre-K
