Humans are wired for connection. We thrive in relationships where we can rely on and care for each other. Yet somewhere along the way, the spiritual world began equating having needs with being codependent, as if needing love, support, or reassurance is a flaw to overcome.
But here’s the truth: needing others doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human. True intimacy isn’t about denying your needs or striving for hyper-independence; it’s about honoring your needs and learning to meet your partner’s, too.
Healing isn’t about shutting down your humanity to avoid being labeled “too much.” It’s about unlearning the shame around your needs and embracing the truth that healthy love is built on mutual care and interdependence—not self-sufficiency.
You are whole and complete, and having a solid sense of self is essential.
But true self-awareness doesn’t lead to isolation—it strengthens your capacity for connection.
Being secure in yourself should bring you closer to healthy relationships where you can truly be yourself.
