The Vacaville Wrestling Program began in 1961. Vacaville won the 2007 California Sate Championship.

In 2005, USA Wrestling included Vacaville High School in its list of the top 100 high school programs in the nation.

OVER A DECADE OF DOMINANCE! For the 14th year in a row, Vacaville High School has won the Monticello Empire League School of the Year banner! School of the Year is determined by a point system in which schools earn points based on final team standings in every sport. This award is a testament to the hard work of our coaches and kids, and all who support Bulldog Athletics!

Vacaville High School sophomore Jenna Patzer closed out an outstanding tournament weekend with another strong performance while representing the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association (S.A.W.A.) at the 2026 California USA Wrestling Association State Dual Championships in Fresno.
Competing as a California National Team member in both the Women’s Freestyle and Women’s Greco-Roman divisions, Patzer secured a victory by Fall in her final featured match of the tournament.
Jenna finished the State Dual Championships with an impressive 7-1 overall record while competing against many of California’s top athletes in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman competition.
Included in this video is a short post-match interview with Jenna reflecting on her performance at the State Duals along with one very important wrestling tradition — the after-tournament meal.
Jenna’s toughness, composure, and continued technical growth continue to reflect the proud tradition of Vacaville Wrestling and the competitive standard being built within California USA Wrestling.

Selland Arena — Fresno, California

Vacaville High School sophomore Jenna Patzer closed out an outstanding tournament weekend with another strong performance while representing the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association (S.A.W.A.) at the 2026 California USA Wrestling Association State Dual Championships in Fresno.

Competing as a California National Team member in both the Women’s Freestyle and Women’s Greco-Roman divisions, Patzer secured a victory by Fall in her final featured match of the tournament.

Jenna finished the State Dual Championships with an impressive 7-1 overall record while competing against many of California’s top athletes in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman competition.

Selland Arena — Fresno, California

Vacaville High School senior Kaelena Ahrens closed out an exceptional tournament weekend with another dominant performance while representing the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association (S.A.W.A.) at the 2026 California USA Wrestling Association State Dual Championships in Fresno.

Competing in the Women’s Freestyle division as a California National Team member, Ahrens secured another Technical Fall victory highlighted by a strong leg attack scoring sequence for four points.

Kaelena finished the tournament undefeated with a perfect 8-0 overall record while competing against many of California’s top athletes in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman competition.

Her discipline, confidence, and technical ex*****on continue to reflect the proud tradition of Vacaville Wrestling and the high standard of competition represented within California USA Wrestling.

Following graduation, Kaelena will continue her education and wrestling career with King University under Coach Bret Fry. King University remains one of the nation’s premier women’s wrestling programs following another outstanding national finish in 2025-26

Vacaville High School senior Daniel Mancuso-Maranan represented the Sacramento Area Wrestling Association (S.A.W.A.) this weekend while competing in the Men’s Greco-Roman division at the 2026 California USA Wrestling Association State Dual Championships.

Competing as a California National Team member, Mancuso-Maranan secured an impressive victory by Fall against strong statewide competition while continuing to represent the toughness, composure, and competitive tradition associated with Vacaville Wrestling.

Daniel’s leadership, discipline, and willingness to compete at a high level continue to reflect positively on the Vacaville wrestling community and the development pathway provided through California USA Wrestling competition.

Following graduation, Daniel will continue both his education and wrestling career with King’s College under Coach Aaron Perez. King’s College continues to build a respected collegiate wrestling culture, and the Monarchs program has continued to show strong competitive progress and program development at the national level.

Competing as a California National Team member, Ahrens secured another Technical Fall victory highlighted by strong positional control through the underhook, body lock pressure, and a powerful suplex finish.

Kaelena’s technical discipline, composure, and offensive pressure continue to reflect the standard of excellence associated with Vacaville Wrestling and California USA Wrestling competition.

Following graduation, Kaelena will continue her education and wrestling career with King University under Coach Bret Fry. King University remains one of the nation’s premier women’s wrestling programs following another outstanding national finish in 2025.
