Instead I will be posting on my personal.page just sharing my journey to encourage others once per week. This will allow me freedom on how God is ready to move next in my life. This has been on my heart and now is the time.

Thinking of you while shopping for my greens this morning. Greens helped me through my sugar attacks. Nutrients supported me through my deficiencies. My time at Davis Co-op. The miles you see are how far the vegetables traveled to get to the store. 2nd to your own garden. My opinion.

It's Real Tip Monday!

It's Real Tip Monday!
Now, I already knew about sugar. I loved bread, muffins, cake over pies and more. Yet, I was asking in the beginning. Why are the blood sugars so high? Yep. DIABETIC AND EATING SUGAR. I know the medication will keep blood sugar in check and I can eat what I want. Being real about my past deception.
I started removing sugar out of my reach within my house first.
I tried the cold turkey and when something happened emotionally. Yep! SUGAR WAS MY GO TOO. This is when I knew I had an emotional eating addiction rather than just LIKING SUGAR.
This week question for you? How many sugar items did you find in your house? If you took the challenge. What are you ready for? Lifestyle or temporary change! Next what are you willing not to bring into the house for yourself? Maybe you live with others. But, what are your favorites? I had to work inside the house before I had strength for outside the house.
One item, two items? Remember gone for good when you decide. Replacements next Monday. Not perfection. Decision with action. Get up start fresh every time. Until it's a part of your life.

It's Thursday
My last shopping day until Monday. I shop 2-3 times week. However, I have a little end of the week concern for those that like their food to have nutrients.
More and more I am looking at package dates /or use by when I don't purchase my food from Co-op in Davis. Now this choice is coming up more and more!
Do I purchase Organic Romaine lettuce that has been packed on 12/4 and today is 1/12? No , I choose not too. Real food looses nutrients as the days go by. No preservatives. Not to mention I think about how far it has traveled to get to the store? How long have they had it refrigerated before putting out on floor? One morning I found cucumbers in pkg. Organic still thawing out in crate at the store. Of course I mentioned to the store produce person.
This is not me complaining. I am about bringing awareness. Just sharing my thoughts.
Best option I know have a garden. Next purchase live lettuce still attached to soil and last shop where least amount of travel and press packaging.
Local is considered within 100 miles from where you live in my reading previously...previous client shared her choice delivery from Farm Fresh to You. Another option.
Have great weekend.

It's Real Tip Monday!
This is real ' sugar is an addiction! My opinion because it was my addiction. In our journey to being healthier. There are two words that I had to deal with on my way to freedom. Addiction and Lifestyle.
I will be sharing about detoxing from sugar. Every Monday I will share a tip on how to remove sugar. You decide whether it's going to be temporary or permanent.
Tip for today. Read your labels this week and see how many grams of sugar are in your kitchen aleady??

It's been a long wait for me. I am still here. However I was waiting for my instructions since late last year for a new direction.
Motives are very important. I want you to know I am here to encourage you in spirit, soul and body as often as I can. My greatest passion is to be a good 'steward' over all. My business is a ministry of Health & Wellness first. I will start next week with tips on Winter Detoxing and Essential Oils that I have included in my journey. So have a great weekend. Well, I am back from my first Detox Your Spirit, Soul & Body Retreat. It was above all that I could have dreamed. So, this week I will be sharing with you 1 recipe daily from the Fall detox I used at retreat. The ladies experienced a detox that they can build from now! HERE YOU GO!
APPLE BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP
2 large apples of your choice , (if not organic peel, if no vita mix or high speed food processor perl) I keep skin for more fiber
1 large butternut squash (3lbs) peeled and chopped. My easiest way is to cut squash in circle slices and then trim the edges and remove seeds)
1 large yellow onion chopper
2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger (adjust more later if needed)
I used ginger season, you can grate 2 inch fresh ginger peeled if you like
4 cups low sodium veggie broth or your own that can be in freezer bags as we approach winter for easy quick soups
1 bunch parsley to garnish
2 Tbsp. Coconut oil or Olive oil
Heat oven 400F. Add apples, squash, onion in bowl and coat with I addseasonings after coating and then adjust after adding to vegetable broth and blended. Cook veggies about 35-40 min. Remove cool down and blend ; I use little of vegetable broth to help blend smoothly. If possible prepare early in morning or day before for seasonings to blend in soup. Serve with chopper parsley on top. I keep most of my soups 3 days and freeze other for later if it last:) Enjoy
