Last week we said congratulations & see you later to Loan Closing Officer, Jeanne Grossman. Jeanne has been with Performance Charter School Development since we were established in 2016 and she has been a part of our parent company, Hawkins Companies, for 25 years. Her contribution to our success over the years is unparalleled and will be greatly missed. We are excited for her and this next adventure in life!

We want to thank Jeanne for her many years of hard work, commitment, and dedication, and for being a part of the Performance Charter School Development team. We wish her all the best in retirement and that she enjoys all the many opportunities and joys that lie ahead!

Last month, Performance Charter company president, Jesse Shetlar, participated on a panel during the HJ Sims 2023 Late Winter Conference related to “Managing Construction & Development Costs Towards a Success Project” which is critical to the success of charter schools and senior living communities.

In the current economic environment, Jesse highlighted the importance of selecting the right team of design and construction professionals that live and breathe the education industry every day. Charter schools should also carefully select their capital partner as facility financing remains the #1 issue in the industry.

We want to thank HJ Sims for this opportunity, it was a great conference and we look forward to attending again in 2024!

In honor of our 5th year anniversary as a company, we wanted to share some of the accomplishments we’ve made! Performance Charter School Development began operations in 2017, with a mission to help new and existing charter schools meet their facility needs. We are proud to say we have successfully done that and continue to do so.

We are deeply saddened by the horrific act of violence at Robb Elementary this week and the senseless loss of 21 innocent people. Each of them was an individual of significant worth. May we honor them by living our lives with kindness and compassion to others. ||

Please join us in welcoming our newest team member, Chris Martin!

Chris joined Performance Charter School Development with 20+ years’ experience as a Construction Manager. Prior to working with Performance, Chris served with another charter school development firm out of Corpus Christi, TX, where he worked as both a Construction Manager and a General Contractor. Chris will help our Director of Facility Development manage day to day operations of the construction process as well as maintain ongoing communication with clients.
