🤝 Good things happen when our classrooms and our community stay in conversation.

Southwest Texas College Business Office Technology is pleased to welcome **Uvalde Memorial Hospital** and **Maverick County Hospital District** as new BOT Industry Partners!

These partnerships create a stronger connection between BOT education and the regional workplace. Our partners may help us understand the skills employers need, participate in workforce conversations, and consider qualified BOT students and graduates for appropriate opportunities.

No partnership can guarantee an interview or a job—but opening a line of communication with important regional employers is a very good place to begin.

We’re also launching **BOT Career Connection**, a newsletter for current students and graduates featuring:

✅ Regional career opportunities
🧭 Honest guidance about qualifications
💻 Skills employers are requesting
📈 Changes affecting administrative careers
🚀 Practical next steps for building toward future opportunities

Administrative work is no longer “just working the front desk.” Today’s professionals often work across:

**Customers + Computers + Records + Money + Coworkers**

BOT Career Connection will help students and graduates recognize what they’re prepared to do now—and what they may want to build toward next.

**Current BOT students and graduates: Keep an eye on your SWTX email. The right door may be one you’re preparing to open now.**

On behalf of SWTX’s Business Office Technology program, our hearts are with the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas—our neighbors, colleagues, and friends—and with Eagle Pass, our own community, following this weekend’s tragedy at the casino. We hold our Kickapoo community especially close in prayer, asking for comfort, healing, and strength for every family. With deep gratitude to the first responders and medical teams caring for us all. 🕯️
