Let's talk about Rabbits in GP!
Small shifts we can provide in a primarily canine/feline species practice that will make our patients feel more comfortable and safe.

The 2026 MAVT Conference is happening October 24th at Baker College of Cadillac. This is a great opportunity to obtain 6 hours of in-person CE from 1 of our 3 tracks.

Speaking of... Meet our third track: Nursing

Y'all came in razor-ready. We just added some polish to make it shine! ✨️

I’m so proud of our team!

CPR training is an important part of veterinary medicine. Although we hope we never need to use these skills—and thankfully, the need is rare—a well-trained, coordinated team is essential when every second counts.

From our front-desk team to our veterinary assistants, technicians, and doctors, everyone has an important role. It truly takes a team.

“We Care” is more than our motto—it’s our philosophy. We care about your pets, and we’re committed to being prepared when they need us most.

Huge thanks to Tutoring & CE By Marie for making the trip up and spending the day with us to keep our skills sharp!

I had the honor of visiting North Heart Vet in the U.P last Monday for Emergency and CPR presentation and hands-on techniques practice.

General practice in veterinary medicine doesn't only mean we only see well or stable animals. Crisis can walk in the door at anytime, and we are the pet's first responders. CPR is not a required training for veterinary staff at this time. This can put strain on anybody and especially if you are not prepared for the situations. The guilt can eat one alive. Every professional has a different level of understanding and experience. Veterinarians guide their teams through the inevitable to success prior to arrest. The statistics of a pet returning home drops drastically after an arrest. Even the most skilled teams have less than 10% success. When every second counts, having your body trained to act makes a huge difference.

Emergency and urgent care pet facilities exist, but there are very few in South Eastern Michigan, and None in Marquette County. The team at this facility understands the needs of their patients and the community, and reached out to build up their knowledge and skills for when the crisis happens. The staff here cares deeply and is enthusiastic about the work they do and were kind and supportive of each other. After visiting I can attest, in confidence, in their ability to support clients, patients, and each other.

Great job, Dream Team!

Gwinn was beautiful and I felt welcome by all during my stay. Next time Ill have to stay longer than 36 hours. Thank you for having me! 😁

Thank you for a physical manifestation of the hope I had been holding. I found me exactly when it needed to. It forever changed how I show up for myself and others. I want to share it as a read along so it may find you too.

I hope to figure out how to mirror the video next time. 😅
