π National School Bus Safety Week | Keeping Our Broncos Safe! π΄
National School Bus Safety Week is here! Whether riding the bus or driving near one, we all play a role in keeping our students safe.
Here are key tips for students and drivers:
π For Students:
Stay in the Safe Zone: Stand at least 10 feet (5 giant steps) away from the curb while waiting.
Wait for the Signal: Never step onto or off the bus until it comes to a complete stop, and the driver signals it is safe.
Never Walk Behind the Bus: Always cross in front of the bus where the driver can see you, making eye contact before crossing.
Stay Seated & Quiet: Keep the aisles clear and maintain inside voices so the driver can focus on the road.
π For Drivers:
Yellow Lights Mean Slow Down: The bus is preparing to stopβprepare to stop your vehicle.
Red Lights & Flashing Stop Sign Mean STOP: Never pass a stopped school bus loading or unloading students.
Stay Alert in School Zones: Watch for children walking or running to catch the bus.
Thank you to our amazing bus drivers for keeping our Broncos safe every day! π
