💜 Celebrating International Women’s Day! 💜

On Monday the 9th, our students came together to recognize International Women’s Day.

Through the campaign, these students committed to forging a more inclusive, respectful, and empowering world for women and girls.

Ada Lovelace studied Charles Babbage’s proposed Analytical Engine, a machine that was never built, and imagined how it could follow a sequence of instructions to solve complex problems. She used mathematics to write what’s now considered the first computer algorithm, more than 100 years before modern computers existed.

March Mammal Madness - Google Drive 03/06/2025

WISE sponsored March Mammal Madness!!
Greetings!

The Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) are promoting a fun, educational event this month: The March Mammal Madness tournament!

This tournament asks the questions ‘What Would Happen? Who Will Win?’ when two “combatants” encounter each other in the wild in a four division, single elimination tournament. This is a fun opportunity to learn a bit about some of earth’s most fascinating organisms.

If you are interested in participating, you can review a quick guide to the rules, download the 2025 bracket, and submit a picture of your filled out bracket here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1dBDFT6bwBoyzIlppdJyqyI2d0M2aERCa?usp=sharing

You will need to download and print your bracket. Fill it in with pen or pencil, and submit a picture of your completed bracket.

Additional information can be found on the MMM website: https://libguides.asu.edu/MarchMammalMadness

The first “combat” is Monday, March 10th. If you would like WISE to track and score your bracket to be in competition for a grand prize (candy), submit your bracket to the folder linked above by Sunday, March 9th.
