Congratulations to our local Fire Departments and Kuyahoora Ambulance on their grant funding

Six Oneida and Herkimer fire services, and one local ambulance company, will receive a portion of $13 million in federal grant funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's two firefighter grants, according to U.S. senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.

What role does the Advanced EMT (AEMT) have in the future of EMS in the Midstate Region?

The Midstate EMS Regional Council (REMSCO) is gathering information about the Advanced EMT level of care throughout our region, and we want to hear from the people who see the needs of our EMS system every day.

Whether you are an AEMT, Paramedic, EMS agency leader, medical director, emergency department staff member, or hospital stakeholder, your perspective can help us better understand:

- How the AEMT level is currently being utilized

- Where there may be opportunities to expand AEMT staffing and education

- How AEMTs can support the continuum of prehospital and hospital care

- What barriers agencies face in utilizing or developing AEMTs

- What the future of the AEMT level could look like in the Midstate Region
