At Utica Elementary Middle School, we know that student growth begins with intentional adult collaboration! 📚🏆

During our school-level professional development, our Ranger Team came together to reflect on staff feedback, analyze student data, strengthen team commitments, and develop solutions that will move our Achievers forward!

Through meaningful grade-band team meetings, we focused on instructional consistency, purposeful planning, and implementing our schoolwide UEMS Test-Taking Strategy: Understand, Examine, Make Meaning, and Select & Support.

Our focus is simple: Less talk, more intentional action! 💪

🚔👩🏾‍⚕️🚒UEMS Community Helper Day

🏘️✨ What’s in a Neighborhood? Prek-2nd Grade Has Been Finding Out! ✨🏘️

Our PreK-2nd grade Achievers have been busy exploring what makes a neighborhood a special place!

They learned about realistic fiction, explored what makes a neighborhood, and compared urban, suburban, rural communities and libraries.

✏️ To bring their learning to life, our Achievers became authors and created their very own books about a favorite place in their neighborhood! 📖

🫶🏿Special thanks to our Community Helpers for providing a hands-on experience for our Rangers

💪🏾We love seeing our Achievers make connections between what they read, the world around them, and their own experiences. Learning is happening at UEMS—and our Achievers are showing what they know! 💙🖤🤍
