We recently welcomed our newest class of Young Scholars during a special ceremony at Utica University. Congratulations to the class of 2032, we look forward to seeing all that you accomplish over the next six years!

We love participating in Mohawk Valley Gives and look forward to sharing more about our 2026 campaign in a few months!

13-Year-Old Heroes Save a Girl’s Life Two 13-year-old boys jumped into action to save a young girl from drowning while swimming.

Our wellness group wrapped up five incredible weeks with a day of outdoor fun at Green Lakes State Park, sound bowl meditation, and ice cream to celebrate! 🌿🍦 We are so proud of this amazing group for showing up with open minds and open hearts. Our friends at Civics Unplugged are hiring a full-time Summer Program Associate for CU Commons in Upstate New York, with a focus on the Mohawk Valley!

This paid role ($3,000/month, June–August 2026, with room for growth!) is a great fit for college students, recent grads, or early-career professionals interested in community-building, event planning, and youth engagement. You’ll help lead programs to teach and empower civic innovators–someone who sees any problem affecting their community as a civic issue and uses new tools and approaches to break out of old patterns to build a better future.
