Recently one of our Real Life Rosies® classes in the Mohawk Valley visited Revere Copper Products Inc. in Rome to tour the facility and learn about the skilled manufacturing careers that support copper production.

Participants had the opportunity to see the production process in action and gain a better understanding of how copper products are manufactured.

We appreciate Revere Copper Products for hosting our class and taking the time to share your expertise and real-world experience with us! 💪

MVCC Campus Events has announced its Fall 2026 schedule, and tickets for paid events go on sale Sept. 1! Highlights include:

🎤 Performances, including a concert by the Five Families Ensemble at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in Utica.
🥐 Make & Take Workshops for crafting and cooking, including a Puff Pastry Workshop at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in Rome.
🌐 International events, including lectures, discussions, and a special event with The Center celebrating World Peace Day at our Utica Campus from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23.
🎨 Art exhibits and workshops, including the annual School of Art Faculty Show, which opens on Thursday, Sept. 17, in Utica.

The Empire State Service Corps has officially launched at MVCC! 💫

Today we welcomed our first SUNY Empire State Service Corps cohort with an orientation and breakfast, including a welcome by Assistant Vice President of Learning and Academic Affairs, Jake Mihevc, EdD.

Through this paid public service initiative, SUNY students dedicate 300 hours to community and campus-based service during the academic year. In return, they earn minimum wage with the opportunity to receive a $1,400 AmeriCorps education award, all while contributing to projects that strengthen communities and address pressing local challenges.

There will likely be two spots open for January. To learn more, stop into ACC102 to make an appointment with Sara Miller, ESSC Campus Coordinator.
