President's Blog: Theta Phi Alpha Gamma Omicron Utica College help the freshman with move in day! Thanks to all the sisters who came out to help and represented us by wearing their letters today!!!

President's Blog (Update from Convention): The last day was filled with the continuation of the business meeting and more awards were presented. Gamma Omicron's Chapter Advisory Board (led by Chapter Adviser Nikki Conroy-Murphy) was granted the Gloria Neiss Award for their amazing work with our chapter during this last biennium!!! They could not be more deserving of this special recognition. The Fraternity Night Banquet was so much fun and the final gift of a beautiful link necklace was given to the attendees. At the end of the day a special announcement was made ... for the 2014 Convention Theta Phi Alpha and hopefully myself will be heading to NEW ORLEANS!!!! The Centennial Convention was something that I will always remember and cherish being a part of and has helped to refresh and remind me of my love and passion for Theta Phi Alpha... President's Blog (Update from Convention): Today we had our historic Theta Phi Alpha Tour in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We began by visiting the cemetery where our founders May C. Ryan, Camilla Ryan Sutherland, and Katrina C. Ward are buried. Laying petals of white roses and singing White Rose in their honor was something that was so special. Also along the tour we saw the original house of the founders as well as the church were they began. It was amazing to get so close to these historic places and people. Following some free time we honored our Alumnae at the Ever Loyal Every Lasting Dinner and then finished off an exciting schedule with Songfest!!! Can't wait to see what our last day has in store for us! Will love from Convention 2012

Another amazing day at Convention!!!! The memorial service definitely made me tear up as we remembered and honored sisters who have passed on. We also got to hear from Elizabeth Smart at the Siena Medal Luncheon which was absolutely amazing to hear her story of both endurance and strength. She definitely deserved to be given the Siena Medal and exemplified St. Catherine of Siena's words of wisdom that "Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring". From there we got to experience not only a business session but also the amazing presentation of flags. Being apart of something like that was both informational and beautiful. As if that wasn't enough we then celebrated our sisterhood at dinner which was certainly a joyous celebration. And then to top off the day the History Book Premier ended our day in the right way. Today flew by with all the exciting events that I will certainly always remember and cherish. I am so thankful for everything that Theta Phi Alpha and my sisters have added to my life!!! Today was a life changing day... we introduced two of our Founder's legacies into our sisterhood of Theta Phi Alpha!!! It was a beautiful thing to be a part of and something that I will always remember. The Centennial Banquet was so nice and a lot of fun... a sister from the Alpha Chapter was there, which is so cool and she is such a sweetie!!!! So many amazing and inspirational women spoke and I feel so blessed to be a part of this historic time in our Fraternity's history.

Update from Convention 2012... We started off the day right with our Centennial Convention Shirts and the cutest black bags that have the compass on them!!! Had a great informational with plenty of tips and ideas that we will be bringing back to our chapter. Then we ended the day right with some M&M's and popcorn... living the good life.
