Our weeks in Greece were incredible, yet it was Meteora that left us in full surrender to the wonder and awe that permeates every part of it. This was the part of our journey that was just the two of us, and the three days we spent immersed in its beauty and gentle power are unforgettable.
The Greek word Meteora means “suspended in the air,” and nothing could describe these stunning Greek Orthodox Byzantine monasteries more perfectly. Meteora has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988 and feels unlike anywhere else we have ever experienced.
Included in this reel are The Great Meteoron Monastery — the oldest and largest monastery, built in the 14th century — The Holy Monastery of Varlaam, and the forest trail leading to The Monastery of St. Barbara Roussanou, the smallest monastery and our favorite for many reasons, though photography was not allowed. Now a nunnery, the energy inside the tiny chapel felt truly otherworldly. We visited twice.
The hermits and monks originally climbed these massive rocks and built the monasteries piece by piece, roping people and materials up with woven nets. Mind-blowing hardly describes it.
Also captured here is The Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, the oldest preserved monument in the Kalambaka area, dating back to the 4th–5th centuries. Its frescoes date from the 12th to 16th centuries, and it is said the church was built upon the site of an ancient temple of Apollo, with remnants still embedded within its walls. Obviously, there was much to ponder here for many of us know this pattern all too well.
The final moments capture our last morning in Meteora, when we climbed over boulders and steep inclines to reach the Rock of the Holy Spirit and a tiny sanctuary hidden within the rock. Arching above its doorway was the pink flowering Judas tree, blooming everywhere throughout Greece, filled with bees radiating their high vibrational hum into the air above these magnificent rocks. What a way to close our time among the rocks, suspended in air.

The crystals of the Cardinal Method 🦋

We are now in the final week of the Year of the Wood Snake shedding what cannot come with us when we pull ourselves up onto our Fire Horses on February 17th as the Lunar New Year begins. This time may feel heavy for some. Shedding old patterns, old versions of self, attachments we have tethered ourselves to for years and maybe even decades are continuing to be released. All that is blocking full alignment is coming up to be felt. Many are feeling an intense heaviness within as more and more rises to be seen and felt. Remember that each invitation to release lovingly created more and more space and this silent gathering is going to offer another invitation for trauma that lives within you to loosen its grip and let go.
The Fire Horse is about new beginnings, expansion, independence, more lightness, forward movement, alignment with purpose, and FREEDOM to ride. It holds the energy of becoming more of who we truly are and taking inspired action in the direction of that which is for our highest good AND the highest good of the collective. Allow time for the transition. Breathe and trust.

New Year, New Space for My Center Within! Coming full circle, again 💫
My soul is continually inviting me back to spaces that have grown me.
I’m writing this from my childhood home, which became home again in 2018 after returning to New York following nine years of raising our family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I’m sitting at my maternal grandfather’s desk, a desk I spent hours at as a child, surrounded by his books, immersed in imagination… writing stories, playing “library” and “store” using the hidden pull-out platforms beneath it.
This desk has come back into my life transformed, lightened of its heavy drawers, freed of all that once made it cumbersome; and yet it remembers.
It remembers the creations birthed upon it for over 75 years, all woven into the grain of its wood, every imperfection lovingly honored. Like me, it has been on quite the journey.
This desk, like this home and land, continues to offer itself as a platform for soul expansion.
Over the past eight years, this house has held me through countless phases of healing. When I signed the papers to buy it, I cried. My soul knew I was returning for deep healing ~ to be held, grown, and expanded in ways no other space could offer at that time in my life.
This home now holds a very different Sara than the one who returned eight years ago. Like my grandfather’s desk, I am lighter and free in all the ways that matter most.
So why am I sharing all of this?
Because coming full circle is happening once again ~ and it couldn’t feel more aligned.
Many of you remember Suite 3 beyond the purple door at 2 Williams Street in Clinton. Whether you stopped in for a quick hello or gifted yourself sessions at My Center Within, that space has called to my soul again. Yes, the exact same suite. Of course it has.
After 18 months of offering limited sessions from my personal sacred space ~ allowing myself time to dive deeper inward, connect with more sacred lands around the world, remember even more of my truth, and grow my work from the inside out ~ it is time. Expansion awaits as the upward spiral continues!
More to come 💫. I look forward to welcoming you back (or welcoming you in!)
