The 7th graders put in a style show in Spanish class and they did a great job!

Students had to create an outfit; write and record a description of the outfit in detail; explain when, why or where they wear the outfit.

They also used a stem changing verb and direct object pronouns to show off their grammar skills! As they modeled around the room, we listened to their recorded descriptions. This is one of THE favorite assignments of the year!

Relays, races, friendly competition, snow cones, and a teacher pie in the face!

As we celebrated the Month of Mary, we began May with special May Crowning ceremonies across our school community.

Our first grade students crowned Mary in our Rosary Garden, where they sang songs, prayed together, and offered special intentions to our Blessed Mother.

During an all-school Mass, our 8th grade and 2nd grade buddies also participated in a beautiful May Crowning ceremony. For our 2nd graders, who had just recently received their First Holy Communion, the experience was especially meaningful.

Thank you to our first grade teachers, Miss Ziegert and Miss Farrell; second grade teachers, Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Weber; 8th grade teachers, Mrs. Pedersen and Mr. Klein; and Mr. Tallman for organizing such beautiful and prayerful experiences for our students. 💙

Wow! Our students recently completed their first ever Makers Market!

During STEM and Art classes, students worked together to create a product for the Makers Market. Items created included special formula slime, teacher trading cards, fuzzy friends, fidgets, and art work!

Then, during Market Day students received “tokens” to spend and could buy various items.

Congratulations to 8th grade student Gabriella for being named a Presidential Scholar at Dowling Catholic High School!

This elite honor recognizes advanced academic achievement and was celebrated last week with a special reception at DCHS.

Our students recently learned about Michelle Duppong, a FOCUS missionary from North Dakota whose witness to faith continues to inspire so many people.

The Diocese of Bismarck is still in the early stages of her cause and they connected us with one of Michelle’s close friends, Mark.

Today, our 8th grade students had the opportunity to video chat with him and hear personal stories about Michelle’s life, faith, joy, and courage. It was such a meaningful reminder that sainthood isn’t just something from long ago, we are all called to live holy lives right where we are.

Moments like this are such a gift for our students. We are grateful for opportunities to connect faith to real people and real stories. Thanks to Mr. Tallman for coordinating such a cool learning experience.

2nd grade had a great field trip to Fort Des Moines Park. We were able to explore pond, woodland, and prairie habitats with Polk County Conservation!
