☁️ Creating Clouds with Cotton Balls! 🎨

Yesterday in the Transition Room, our little artists got creative as we painted clouds using cotton balls! ☁️ This was a fun way to practice our fine motor skills while exploring painting with something different than our usual paintbrushes.

The children enjoyed grasping, dipping, and stamping the cotton balls to create their fluffy clouds. This simple activity encouraged creativity, hand-eye coordination, and sensory exploration while giving them a new way to enjoy the painting process! 💙☁️🎨

Fingerprint Investigation 🔍

In the 3 year old classroom, the children explored fingerprints through a fun hands-on science activity! The children dipped their fingers in ink and created many different fingerprints on paper. They then used magnifying glasses to take a closer look at their prints.

As they investigated, the children noticed that their fingerprints had lots of tiny lines, shapes, and patterns. They practiced observing closely and talking about what they discovered.

The children were exploring:

🧠 Scientific thinking and curiosity
💬 Language and describing what they see
🔬 Early science concepts and the idea that everyone's fingerprints are unique

🥁 Drum 🥁

Did you know that something as simple as playing the drums can help babies build important developmental skills? 💛

Through interactive musical play, our little ones are developing cognitive, physical, and sensory skills while having fun! From reaching and grasping to listening, exploring sounds, and discovering cause and effect, every little tap is a learning opportunity. 🧠👶✨

✨📚 Professional Development Day! 📚✨

Today was all about learning, growing, and preparing for an amazing new school year! 💛

Our incredible teachers spent the first half of the day participating in some AMAZING professional trainings designed to continue building their knowledge, skills, and passion for the children and families we serve. 🧠🌱 We are always learning because our little learners deserve our very best!

Then came the second half of the day… CLASSROOM PREP MODE! 🧹✂️📦🎨

Our teachers worked SO hard getting their classrooms organized, refreshed, and ready to welcome our children back on Monday for another year of learning, growing, exploring, and making memories! 🥰

We are so proud of the dedication, hard work, and heart our teachers pour into their classrooms every single day. ❤️

We’re ready for another year of BIG learning and even bigger smiles! 🌟

🌈✨ A Little Science + A Lot of Color! ✨🌈

Today, our Summer Camp friends explored a fun “Growing Rainbow” experiment using just paper towels, markers, and water! 💧🎨

The children made their own scientific guesses (hypotheses) about what they thought would happen when the water reached the colorful markers. Then, they watched as the colors traveled and began to spread across the paper towel! 🌈

🍓🍌 Fruit Pizza Fun in Kids Cafe!🍕✨

We made delicious fruit pizzas in Kids Cafe this week, and they were a HUGE hit! 😋

Our little chefs started by crushing up graham crackers for the crust, then spread on vanilla yogurt like frosting. Finally, they topped their creations with fresh sliced strawberries and bananas! 🍓🍌

The children loved making their own tasty creations—and even more, they loved eating them! ❤️👩‍🍳

What a fun (and delicious!) Kids Cafe experience! 🍕✨
