🕵️♀️ New View I-Spy Challenge
Can you spot Ms. Quackerton?
After conducting an extensive search for premium real estate, she selected the area behind a heavy pallet outside our staff entrance as the ideal location for her nursery.
Current status:
🥚 3 eggs
🦆 1 very determined mother
👀 14 staff members who are suddenly amateur duck experts
If you look carefully behind the pallet, you’ll find Ms. Quackerton keeping watch over her growing nest. We’ve learned that she may lay as many as 10–12 eggs before settling in for about 30 days of incubation.
Naturally, the New View team is now fully invested in this journey.
We’ll be sharing occasional Ms. Quackerton Updates as we follow along and (hopefully) welcome some tiny ducklings later this summer.
Stay tuned for future episodes of:
Keeping Up with the Quackertons. 🦆💛🥚

✨ Staff Spotlight: Meet Tracy! ✨
We’re so excited to highlight the passion, creativity, and heart Tracy brings to our clinic 💙
🌱 What inspired her to work in the autism field?
“My passion for working with children began at age 11 when I took a babysitting class and knew right away that nurturing children was my calling.
That passion deepened when my son was diagnosed with autism. Raising him gave me firsthand insight into both the challenges and joys of supporting a child on the spectrum, and showed me just how much compassionate care can make a difference.
Now that he is older, I feel called to share that love and experience with other children and families. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree to become a BCBA, turning a lifelong passion into a meaningful mission.”
🎉 Favorite activity in the clinic?
“My favorite activity is circle time! While it felt a little chaotic at first, the children have made incredible progress through consistency and repetition. Watching their confidence grow, seeing their excitement, and witnessing them use those skills in everyday life is so rewarding.”
🎨 Fun fact about Tracy!
Outside of work, she loves painting, writing poetry, and reading. She enjoys having creative outlets that allow for self-expression and relaxation. We’ve included a few photos of Tracy’s artwork in this post so you can see some of the beautiful creativity she brings both inside and outside the clinic!
💃 One of the most exciting things she has recently added to her life is dance lessons! It was a childhood dream that she’s finally pursuing, and it’s been a joyful reminder that it’s never too late to try something new.
💫 She brings compassion, dedication, and creativity to every session—helping create a space where children and families feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated.

🧩 Autism Fact Friday 🧩
Many autistic individuals describe thinking visually rather than verbally — meaning they may process information through pictures, patterns, or mental images instead of words alone 💭✨
This unique way of thinking can lead to amazing strengths in areas like:
🎨 Art, drawing, and design
🧱 Building and engineering
🧩 Puzzles and pattern recognition
📐 Spatial awareness and visual problem-solving
💡 Creativity and imagination
Visual thinkers often notice details others may miss and can approach challenges in incredibly creative ways.
Every autistic person is different, but embracing different ways of learning and thinking helps create spaces where all individuals can thrive 💙

☀️ Water Safety Reminder for Summer ☀️
Summer fun is here — and water safety is especially important for children with autism 💙
Many autistic children are naturally drawn to water because it can feel calming, fun, or sensory regulating. Because of this, extra precautions around pools, lakes, splash pads, and beaches are so important.
💧 Water Safety Tips:
🛟 Always provide close, active supervision near water
🏊 Consider swim lessons that fit your child’s needs and comfort level
🚪 Use locks, alarms, or gates around pools and doors when possible
📱 Keep emergency contacts and safety plans easily accessible
🧡 Practice water rules often and use visual supports if helpful
👕 Bright-colored swimsuits can help increase visibility in the water
Most importantly — create safe opportunities for summer fun, confidence, and exploration ☀️
A little preparation can make a big difference in keeping summer both fun and safe for every child 💙

We celebrate the small wins, the big wins, and work through challenging times together. It’s so inspiring to watch these kiddos reach toward their goals!”
🎉 Favorite activity in the clinic?
“My favorite activity is throwing ‘parties’ at Club P! We play energetic music, dance, and get all our wiggles out. Seeing the kiddos express themselves through movement and have fun is the best part!”
⛳ Fun fact about Jai!

For many autistic individuals, the world can feel a little louder, brighter, or more overwhelming — or sometimes not enough sensory input at all. 💙
Sensory differences are a common part of autism, meaning lights, sounds, textures, smells, or even certain environments may be experienced more intensely (or less intensely) than others. What may seem minor to one person can feel incredibly uncomfortable or distracting to someone else.
At New View Autism, we believe understanding sensory needs helps create more supportive, compassionate environments where every child can feel safe, regulated, and empowered to thrive. ✨
