What a summer for our Waterford Garden Club! Over summer break, nearly 50 pounds of fresh produce was harvested from our garden and donated to the Waukee Community School District’s summer food program, helping provide meals for Waukee students and their families.

Our summer harvest included peppers, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, zucchini, radishes, and beets — and we’re not done yet!

Still growing and getting ready for harvest are eggplant, watermelon, sweet corn, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and pumpkins!

We are so proud of our Garden Club and the way this project has grown beyond our garden beds to make a difference in our community. What an amazing example of growing, giving, and learning together!

Taking care of ourselves helps us bring our best to our students, and a little fresh air, movement, and time together was a great way to focus on wellness as a staff.

There’s nothing quite like the excitement of the first day of school! From smiling faces and reconnecting with friends to meeting new teachers and settling into new classrooms, Waterford was filled with energy and excitement today!

We loved welcoming our students back and seeing our hallways and classrooms come to life again. We’re looking forward to a year filled with learning, growing, creating, and making memories together!

Work Day Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:35 AM–3:40 PM
Wednesday: 8:35 AM–1:40 PM

Great people choose Waukee, and that includes Mrs. Dunlap!

Our new assistant principal began her Waukee journey in early July! She is excited to serve students at Waterford and Radiant this school year.

When she's not at school, she stays busy with her husband and three young children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, hiking, and visiting Lake Okoboji. 💙
