Summer is underway, and these kids soaked up the beautiful weather this week with our Beyond the Bell summer program! Besides playing and creating at school, they've also spent the past couple of days off-site visiting the zoo and attending an Iowa Cubs game. 😎

Wolves — If you want to order your school supply boxes through EPI, you have until 11:59 p.m. on June 16. Those boxes will be ready for students on Open House Night. If you want to shop for your own supplies, check out the 2026-27 lists on our website. 🖍️ 📒 ✏️

Wolves Softball Youth Night is almost here! 🐺

Join us on June 15 as the Wolves take on Southeast Polk at home. Kids wearing a Wolves t-shirt or a softball jersey for their own team get in free! Plus, grab a free team poster and get it signed after the varsity game.

Lunch is on us this summer! 🍽️

Make your middle-of-the-day meal easy by feeding the kids at our Summer Free Lunch sites. Anyone 18 or younger is welcome to enjoy a meal! We've got several locations in West Des Moines and Waukee, including one at Vince Meyer Learning Center.

🌟 Staff Member of the Week: Mrs. Koch 🌟

This week, we are excited to celebrate Mrs. Koch, our incredible guidance teacher! 💙

Mrs. Koch is always willing to help and brings a calm, positive presence to our school each day. Her smile, caring nature, and thoughtfulness make a difference for both staff and students alike. Whether offering support, encouragement, or simply being there when needed, Mrs. Koch consistently goes above and beyond for our school community.

Join is tomorrow, May 28th from 4:30-6:30pm, where the PTO will host an outdoor celebration near the playground at Waterford. Families and kids can enjoy inflatable slides and obstacle courses, outdoor games, hamburgers and hot dogs, soda, and ice cream. We will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs at school and it will be FREE while supplies last. Thank you to HyVee for this donation!

Vendors that will be there are Sips Dirty Drinks, serving mixed sodas, flavored fizzy drinks and more. Also L&C Big Chill will be serving ice cream treats. We are also excited to have a pop up BOOK vendor, Wandering Raccoon Books at our event. They will be selling books that will be perfect for your kids summer reading goals. All Waterford families and kids are invited. We look forward to seeing our Waterford families there and can't wait to celebrate the end of a wonderful school year!
