ATTENTION STUDENTS GOING IN TO 6th Grade for the 2019-2020 School Year!!

ONE WEEK LEFT TO ORDER SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR YOUR 6th GRADER THIS FALL

Ordering is *now available* for school supply kits through 'SchoolKidz/Teacher Tailored' for NEXT year! Please visit https://www.shopttkits.com and enter our school's code "84484". Simply place your order anytime between now and June 21st to have all your child’s necessary supplies delivered right to their advisory classroom and available for pick up at the UMS Open House in August! **New this year: Ticonderoga brand pencils, Expo brand dry-erase markers and plastic (NOT PAPER) folders!** The kits contain everything identified on the school supply list for next year with these notable exceptions:

1) guitar picks - 7th grade only, required for music class. Must purchase separately

2) earbuds - these are recommended, not required. If you would like your child to have them at school, you must purchase separately.

3) tissues/hand sanitizer/post-it notes - can be purchased via SchoolKidz separate from the kit. This will be for general classroom use. Any quantity donation is GREATLY appreciated!

4) lanyards/PE attire - optional, must purchase separately.

Dear Jensen Families,

Over the past three weeks, we have been trialing a new parent drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedure using 64th Street in order to improve safety, efficiency, and traffic flow during our busiest times at Jensen. When the weather was nice the plan worked great; however, with the continued rain we’ve been receiving, we’ve learned that 64th Street is not a safe option due to the standing water on the east side of the street.

Starting this afternoon, Tuesday, May 28, and for the remainder of the school year, we will no longer use 64th Street during parent drop-off and pick-up. Instead, we will only be using the Jensen parking lot for drop-off and pick-up.

Mrs. Brimeyer and I will continue to explore options that will help streamline this process as we move into the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
