Big shout out to Nora for placing 7th at the Girls AAU state tournament yesterday! Nora is in her first year wrestling and already keeping the Gray family tradition going. Congrats Nora!

Good afternoon J-Hawks, we have been getting some questions about our plans for offseason wrestling.

Here is our open mat schedule for the Spring! These FREE open mats are available for wrestlers 3rd grade and up. For those in elementary school we ask that they bring a partner/friend or have a group of 3 lined up.

The first practice will be at 3:30pm on 3/8 to accommodate for our banquet, and the rest are listed below. All practices will take place in the UHS wrestling room.

Urbandale HS State AAU Wrestling Online ordering for Urbandale HS State AAU Wrestling ends on Tue, Feb 17, 2026 (11:59 PM PST)

Today we had 5 tough Team J-Hawk and Urbandale wrestlers competing at the AAU district tournament! Congrats to our 3 qualifiers that will be moving on to the state tournament!

Also big shout to to Brayden taking 5th place and Jaxon for competing hard today!

Congrats to Payton on finishing 4th place at the Girls Wrestling State Tournament!! What an outstanding season!

Due to the Urbandale Varsity Wrestling team qualifying for the regional duals and having a chance to qualify for team state, next Tuesday’s competitive practice will be moved to Wednesday at the regularly scheduled time.
