The students had a great adventure this week and visited (board member) Karl's hobby farm. He needed everyone to help him move juvenile chickens from their hatching pen to an outdoor field so that they could begin free-range living. The boys helped to move 30 of them and gave each one a name during the process (Blueberry, Lemon Square, Slinky, Thanos, and Peter were a few of the memorable names). After that, the boys fed the nesting hens, gathered a few eggs, and enjoyed petting the two resident pigs. Much fun was had and a lot of learning, to boot!
