Excellent fighting from Charles and Josh tonight, and one hell of a promotion! You two fought hard and well. While both fights resulted in a loss, they can take what they learned from their fights and train and come back fighting harder and stronger. Keep your chin up, champs! Huge thanks to Prime Promotions for having us on the card, it’s always a pleasure. We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring our fighters out and participate in your events. This is a reminder that the Giorgio Petrosyan seminar is coming this Sunday, July 12th, from 1-3pm. I was hopeful we could fit up to 30 people in the new gym space but after a few weeks of classes it is clear we need to limit the total attendance to 20 people only. Tickets will be given on a first-come, first-served basis so I can't hold spots for anyone. Sign up on the Google Sheets link in our bio and hope to see you on Sunday!

Schedule for this week is up. We will be closed on Friday 7/3 to allow us time with our families for the holiday weekend. We will resume the normal summer schedule next Monday. Enjoy the break!

After a little over a week of classes at the new gym, we have decided to combine our two classes into one class that will be from 5:30 to 7:00. With the new, bigger space and lower overall class sizes, we should have enough room for now to accommodate all of our students each day. Whenever that changes, or whenever UIUC is back in session, we will then go back to normal classes. But for now, this is going to be the best option for all of us.

Excited to announce that we will be hosting our first seminar on Sunday, July 12th from 1-3pm with the legendary Giorgio Petrosyan! Giorgio is widely considered to be the greatest kickboxer in history, amassing a professional record of 109-3-2 over a 20+ year career. Giorgio earned the nickname "The Doctor" due to his surgically precise striking His accomplishments include multiple titles across multiple promotions including K-1, Glory, and ONE Championship. His brother, current UFC fighter Armen Petrosyan, will also be joining him for this event. The seminar will be for 2 hours and will include a 1-hour meet and greet afterwards for anyone interested.

It is a huge honor to be able to host and learn from one of the greatest fighters in history, and it is not an opportunity that comes to our town often. We hope everyone will join us for this very special event. DM us for more info!

We are ready to open and hope to see you all at 5! Come out and spar until you are too tired! I almost have the shakes from not hitting anyone for 2 weeks haha.

Finally able to give an update on our progress. First off, a huge thank you to everyone that has shown up to help the past week. There were more people contributing each day than I expected and we would not have made it this far without each one of you. I am extremely grateful for the support and really can't thank you all enough.

As for progress, the hardest part is just about over. We have just a couple bag holders to place today and then the only things left will be finishing up placing the mats, deep cleaning them all, and then a lot of small detail/organizational stuff. But before that, a day off is necessary 😅. I am (insert bad word) tired. So I'm taking tomorrow off and will be back at it on Tuesday. Will still appreciate any help I can get from Tuesday onwards, with the goal of having everything locked in to have a sparring day this coming Friday. Thank you for all of your patience and understanding during this process and we can't wait to show you the final product!

This is the official announcement that we will be closed most of next week, starting Monday the 18th, as we will be moving to a new location. We will still be in the same building but we will be moving to a new unit in the West Corridor by Volo Internet. This new place has much more space to accommodate our growing class sizes, including a larger back area for us to start adding more weight equipment and a larger main area that will have an additional 300 square feet of just mat space. It will also have our most requested amenity: a working water fountain! 😄

Having said that, I have no idea how long this process will take. The goal is to at least get everything moved into the new space, set up the mats, and have a "soft opening" sparring day by Friday the 22nd, resuming normal classes on Tuesday the 26th (closed for Memorial Day). To make that happen, I am going to need as much help as I can get. Several of you have already offered to help, but any additional hands would be greatly appreciated. If any of you are free next week and would like to come by to help, message me on here and I'll let you know when to come by.

It could also take beyond Friday the 22nd to get to that point or even happen sooner! I have never done a big move like this before and have no idea how long it will take. I will keep you updated on our progress via social media channels and will be able to give a firm date for reopening once we get most of the big stuff out of the way.
