We are pleased to introduce the Illinois ACES Land Grant Initiative, a nearly $2 million investment to strengthen the way we deliver on our land-grant mission.

The Illinois ACES Land Grant Initiative brings ACES researchers and Illinois Extension professionals together to address challenges facing the people, communities, and industries we serve. Today, we're announcing four projects that put that vision into action, connecting research, Extension expertise, and stakeholder knowledge to develop practical solutions for Illinois.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Yuan-Xiang Pan, a faculty member in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition.

For more than two decades at Illinois, Dr. Pan advanced nutritional science while dedicating himself to teaching, mentoring, and supporting students and colleagues.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, students, and colleagues. He will be greatly missed.
