Hello Everyone! Registration for the Short Course will be closing on May 12th, 2022. There are still 11 spaces available, so get your spot while you can!
To answer some of your questions, the short course will be taking place on the Urbana-Champaign campus. For those who are registered, an email will be sent out shortly with more details.

At long last, there has been another date set for the Bee Short Course. It will be held on May 21, 2022 at the Institute for Genomic Biology and the U of I Bee Research Facility.

In response to a suggestion that we hold the Bee Short Course remotely, here's the reply from the director of the Bee Research Facility, Professor Gene Robinson and Asst Professor Adam Dolezal:
"The hands-on component of the University of Illinois Bee Short Course sets it apart from other offerings. There are other venues where one can go to hear nice talks from beekeeping experts and bee scientists.
There are many beekeeping clubs/organizations that provide online materials/events. This includes the Illinois State Beekeepers Assoc summer meeting.
Assistant Professor Adam DolezaI made an online video tour of his lab's research with short presentations by different lab members. Here is a link to the first part (of three) of the video:

The University of Illinois Bee Short Course will continue to be an in-person event. The April 2020 course, rescheduled to April 2021 is now rescheduled to April 2022. We apologize for the delays but covid has changed our world for the time being.
