MCB Graduate Program at Illinois

We are incredibly proud of Sangeetha Ramesh, a sixth-year student, for passing her defense on Thursday, August 24 in Dr. Michell's lab.

She is going to continue working in Dr. Mitchell's lab as a post-doctoral researcher until the end of the year to finish a few pending projects. Leveraging large-scale genomic data to study post-translational modifications in peptides and proteins.

Following her post-doctoral with Dr. Mitchell she is going to pursue A post-doctoral position to study plant-microbe interactions.

We want to congratulate you and wish you the best of luck, Dr. Sangeetha Ramesh.

Shout out to MIP PhD student Gang Xiao! He was selected as a 2023 Beckman Institute Graduate Fellow!

The fellowship supports students committed to pursuing interdisciplinary research. Xiao's project explores the complex neurological pathways involved in how brains respond to specific tasks.
