UHS Alumni Celesta Dunn, will be speaking this Saturday, May 2nd at 1 p.m, at the Champaign County Historical Society Museum, 809 East Lawn Ave. Her presentation is free and open to the public.

Celesta, a 1967 graduate of Urbana High School, now volunteers on the Champaign County Historical Society’s Collections and Exhibits Committee. After college she served as a reporter and photographer at the Urbana Daily Citizen, and in a variety of public relations and leadership roles, before serving for 18 years as executive assistant to the provost of Wittenberg University.

Do you have (or know) a senior graduating this year from UHS? The UHS Alumni Association Scholarship is available. This year, we will be awarding 1 deserving student a $3000 scholarship.

Requirements:

🎓At least one parent/guardian must be a graduate of UHS

🎓Student must be looking to attend a 2 or 4 year institution to further his/her education. This includes vocational or technical schools.

Congrats to Professor Ryan Yoder for being named a recipient of the Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching! This award recognizes faculty members for their teaching excellence. Students, faculty, and alumni may nominate faculty; and a committee of students, previous recipients, and alumni choose the recipients.
