U of I, FSHN Featured Dietetics Alumna
Stephanie Kulczycki, RDN, LDN
Clinical Dietitian at Advocate Christ Medical Center
“As a Clinical Dietitian at Advocate Christ Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center in Oak Lawn, IL, I am responsible for patients on the progressive step-down, medical surgical, non-ICU COVID, and rehabilitation units. From calculating tube feedings/TPN's, to providing educations, I collaborate with nurses, doctors, and therapists daily to ensure my patients are getting the nutrition they need.
“I am extremely proud to be a FSHN alumna, I could not imagine another program preparing me as well as this one did for a future of opportunity. The variety of courses and knowledgeable professors really assisted me on my path to becoming a well-rounded Registered Dietitian. My program director, Dr. Karduck, was there each step of the way to make sure we were on a path to success instead of burnout. When I graduated, I had a diverse resume of work, volunteer, and leadership experiences that landed me my dream Dietetic Internship. I still keep in touch with my classmates three years later and I am thankful to UIUC's FSHN Department for my life-long friends and the beginning of a wonderful career in healthcare.”
