Our second annual 24 Hour Compose-A-Thon featuring special guest artists Megan Ihnen, Mezzo-Soprano and pianist/composer Justin Paul Ortez culminated in a concert at Urbana's The Iron Post last night! Thank you to everyone who was in attendance! We had a blast!
Ms. Ihnen performed works by composers Daniel Steele and Elizabeth Gartman with harpist Noël Wan and flutist Sammy White. Mr. Ortez performed works by composers Kayla McComb and Eric Zurbin with saxophonist Wilson Poffenberger (fresh off winning the Krannert Debut Artist Competition
Meeting tomorrow at 2 pm in the Mus 0359 (known as the Fishbowl)!
We'll be discussing and voting on who the special guests for the compose-a-thon will be! (All student and community members can show up and vote)
We'll be going over plans for December 16th's Music and Monologues concert at 25 O'Clock!

Come join us at 2 pm in the Fish Bowl (0359) to help plan our upcoming events at 25 O'Clock, Bake Sale, and 24 Hour Compose-A-Thon.
And yes, as always, there WILL be snacks!

There is a meeting TODAY at 2 pm in the fishbowl (Mus 0359) in the music building.
We'll be discussing a bunch of the events we began planning last time and welcome everyone :)!
There will be snacks! This adorable cat will serve as moderator. Oh wait, no Ralph will be running the meeting.

Thanks again to everyone who performed, composed for, and came to tonight's show at Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center. It was so much fun! Here are some photos from the event :)!
