Here are tips to living green:
π Reducing reliance on energy-intensive tech servers & AI
π Shut off water when shaving & brushing teeth
π Turn off lights when you leave a room
π Connect all electronics to a power strip
π Avoid fast fashion & shop at 2nd hand stores
π Do not open windows when using AC or heat
π Walk, ride a bike, or use public transportation
π Eat local & organic foods
π Avoid using plastic bags

π¦ Stay hydrated in the summer heat! Hydration is key to regulating your body. You should be consuming about 3.5 liters of water a day. This can be easily implemented into your daily routines, like eating highly-concentrated watery foods or drinking water right when you wake up.

π₯ Milk is GOOD FOR YOU! It's the main ingredient in some of your favorite foodsπ¦and can add a lot of nutrients to your diet. Though not everyone can digest lactose, there are plenty of milk alternatives.

π It's easy to be positive when you water your own grass & build yourself up. It can be hard to stay optimistic in challenging times, but positive forward thinking makes it worthwhile. Positive Attitude Changes Everything!

Foot hygiene is important. If you are experiencing foot pain or frequent poor odors, don't wait to be evaluated. Schedule an appointment with your McKinley provider.
Some foot hygiene tips include:
π Wash your feet thoroughly
π Avoid walking barefoot to help protect your feet from injury & infection
π Inspect your feet regularly & pay attention to changes in color, texture, & appearance
π Cut toenails straight across
π Wear proper shoes that are not too large or too small
π Moisturize feet to avoid calluses or skin irritation
π If you get bunions, try icing your feet to reduce inflammation or soaking in Epsom salt
Keep those feet happy! π

π¦ Apply anti-itch cream
π¦ Stay indoors at dawn & dust to avoid bites
