Urbana Middle School Band

Highlights from our 5th grade band and strings concert this evening! Congratulations to all the students who performed and put in so much hard work this year!

On Saturday several Urbana students participated in the ILMEA Elementary Band and Orchestra Festival hosted by Danville High School. They had a great morning rehearsing music with other student musicians from the area, and concluded the day with a concert.

On Monday the 6th grade band students got to join the UHS Wind Symphony for a rehearsal. We had a great time collaborating with the high school musicians and learned a lot from this experience! 🎶

Congratulations again to all of the UMS & UHS musicians who participated in ILMEA this weekend! A full day of rehearsals and music making culminated in amazing performances from the District 3 band, choir, and orchestra 🎶

Welcome TMB2B Students and Families! 🧡🎶 After you drop off your student for the event, join us for an *optional* info session about Tiger Marching Band (TMB) this Friday, October 4 at 5:30 pm before the TMB Pre-show at the UHS Football Game. A few freshman parents will share what they’ve learned and answer any questions you might have so that you’ll know what to expect when your student joins TMB next year!

Did you know?

🎶 TMB enrollment is open to incoming freshman through seniors with previous training on their instruments who are concurrently enrolled in a UHS instrumental or choir ensemble.

🎶 TMB enrollment receives a waiver of the Fall PE requirement.

🎶 It is possible to enroll in TMB and participate in a Fall Sport.

Happy teachers appreciation week to all of our donors!

While we were unable to reach our goal amount we still had a phenomenal time taking our students to 6 flags without having any students pay for the trip!

Our students came home with trophies as they placed 1st in their division and 1st overall in the middle school level.
