Take a look at one of our camps that took place this past summer: Saving FACE (Food, Agriculture, Construction, & Environment) Around the World!

Campers explored the world of agricultural and biological engineering through hands-on activities focused on the systems that provide our food, energy, water, and built environment. From Smart Ag Kits and hydroponics and aquaponics to construction challenges and exploring the carbon cycle, campers discovered how engineering can help solve challenges facing communities around the world.

Throughout the week, campers also stepped outside the classroom with visits to research farms, sustainability projects, and food and bioprocessing facilities, seeing firsthand how engineering concepts are applied in the real world.
This camp was filled with building, experimenting, exploring, and discovering how engineering can help create a more sustainable future!

Take a look at one of our camps that took place this past summer: Learning Electronics, AI, and Programming (LEAP)!

Campers jumped into the world of electrical engineering and computer science through projects that combined electronics, programming, and AI all into one! From soldering and assembling circuits to working with sensors, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, campers learned how hardware and software work together to collect and analyze real world data.

They put together everything that they learned throughout the week to build their very own portable weather station, a tool that allows them to collect atmospheric data outside of the camp!

This camp was filled with coding, building, experimenting, and discovering the opportunities within technology!

Take a look at one of our camps that took place this past summer: City Designers and Builders Camp (CEE Camp)!

Campers explored the world of civil and environmental engineering through hands-on projects, lab demonstrations, and field trips focused on the systems and structures that shape the world around us. From environmental hydraulics and air quality to robotics, smart structures, renewable energy, and sustainable materials, campers discovered the many ways civil and environmental engineers tackle real-world challenges.

Throughout the week, campers got to design, build, experiment, and explore different areas of CEE while learning how engineers develop solutions for safer, stronger, and more sustainable communities.

This camp was filled with problem-solving, creativity, and hands-on engineering while giving campers a glimpse into the many opportunities within civil and environmental engineering!

Take a look a one of the camps that wrapped up last week!

Exploring Mechanical Science and Engineering Camp [*EAGER] is all about building things. Mechanical engineers understand how machines work and how to design and construct new ones to solve challenging problems in the world.

Campers got hands-on experiences building and designing machines that make the world a better place, using all their creativity and problem-solving skills. The camp also included field trips to on-site labs and nearby research / manufacturing companies.

One more of our camps just wrapped up this past week!

Exploring Your Options (EYO) is a week-long, residential program that introduces rising 9th - 12th graders to the varied disciplines of engineering. EYO takes place at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, providing campers with the opportunity to interact with engineering students and faculty during the lessons and hands-on activities developed by the departments in The Grainger College of Engineering.

Take a look at one of our camps that wrapped up last week!

From tiny airplanes delivering packages to sending humans to Mars, today is an exciting time for everything related to Aerospace Engineering! The Aerospace EAGER camp provides high school students with the opportunity to explore aerospace engineering through numerous hands-on projects and demonstrations, including a field trip to the local airport visit their Institute of Aviation.

EAGER camps are mission-driven camp sessions led by Engineers Aiming for Gender Equity & Representation in STEM majors and careers. These camps aim to support and empower traditionally excluded populations in STEM. EAGER camps provide a safe environment to build a community of peers and mentors who empower one another to be confident in their exploration of STEM. In alignment with our mission to foster a supportive environment for all members of our university community, this program is open to all eligible students regardless of race, color or national origin. The first 500 Carnegie Young Leaders are already making waves with their projects across the U.S., from disaster preparedness to food access to mental health support.

Here’s what you’ll get:
