πΆ"My brain is a little bit stronger, my hair is a little bit longer,
My teachers are little bit prouder, my heart beats a little bit louder.
Look at all, the friends Iβve made. These memories will never fade.
I am proud of me and all that I can be. Watch and you will see!" πΆ

We had a fantastic time last week celebrating NAEYC's The Week of the Young Child!
Monday started off the week with Hat Day, followed by Pajama Day, Wacky Outfit Wednesday, Costume Day, and we wrapped up the week with Class Color Wednesday.
An enormous thank you to all of the parents and family members who were able to join us in the classroom this week, whether you came in to read a story, share songs, play an instrument, or just spend time with the children in the classroom. We love being part of such a wonderful community, and are grateful for the support that make celebrations like this possible.

As part of the National Week of the Young Child, we held our International Potluck last night. This event is a way to bring families together to share delicious dishes from their home countries and to celebrate cultures from around the world. The Children's Center is proud to have welcomed families from 67 different countries since we began this tradition in 2003.

The Blue Room is rolling play dough, but these kiddos are doing much more than just having fun!
Play dough play helps strengthen fine motor skills and supports early creativity. Itβs also a great way to practice focus, patience, and working together with shared tools.

Getting a group of toddlers to look at the camera at the same time should be an Olympic sport!

The Red and Green Rooms took advantage of the lovely weather we've been having lately and took a walk to the park! Walking together helps teach road safety, as the children can practice staying together, following directions, and lifting thier hands high so the cars can see them. They had a great time at the playground, and worked up a great appetite for lunch!
