AVL Director Kalina Borkiewicz is leaving NCSA after 10 years.
Kalina is an epitome of a leader and has been a guiding light for AVL. In the last 10 years she went from a junior programmer to leading the division through sheer hard work, determination and a passion for visualization.
Please join us in congratulating her as she embarks on a new adventure as a PhD candidate at the University of Utah. We will miss you dearly.

STARC Doctoral student Colter E Wehmeier, who is pursuing a Dual PhD with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with the title 'MetaFraming: Digital Humanities and Game Design for Participatory Heritage Interpretation', successfully completed his Comprehensive Examination yesterday.
